| Child Development Center at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois Project Superintendent: Robert (BJ) Hoef Design and build a new Child Development Center (CDC) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois consisting of approximately 23,594 square of space in a one story building. The building will include playroom and classroom areas for infants thru pre-school children, administrative areas, laundry and kitchen, plus common areas including a break room, mechanical and electrical rooms. Four outside play areas immediately adjacent to the building feature extensive playground equipment and special play surfaces. The project will include new pavement and parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, utilities and the demolition of the existing CDC. This project was awarded in September 2008 for a value of $7.2M. Site work began on the facility in April 2009. Completion is scheduled for January 2010. |
| Security Forces Operations Facility at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois
Project Superintendent: Mark Kabureck Design and build new Security Forces Operations Facility (SFOF) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, consisting of approximately 34,619 square feet of space in a one story building serving both Active and National Guard security operations. Administrative areas, training and classroom areas, conference rooms, a ballistic proof control center, alarm room, long-term detention, short term holding, investigations, interview rooms, weapons vaults, common areas (including a break room), mechanical and electrical rooms are included. The project will also include new pavement and parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and utilities with an extensive upgrade of off-site communications infrastructure. The project also includes demolition of the existing SFOF facility and construction of a 2,400 square foot addition to an existing Illinois Air-National Guard (ANG) warehouse on a separate site. This project was awarded in April 2008 for a value of $12.2M. Site utilities have begun and the foundation work is underway. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2010. The warehouse addition work will be completed in June 2009. |
| Navy Operational Support Center, Peoria, Illinois Project Superintendent: Dave Kuester Valued at $1.0M and awareded in 2008, this design and build project includes demolition, renovation, and new construction work for miscellaneous modernization improvement on the interior and exterior of the Navy Operational Support Center, Peoria, Illinois. Existing restroom and locker room areas will be renovated, new flooring, ceiling finishes and interior painting are provided along with a new 5-ton hoist with trolley, electrical, and HVAC upgrades. Asbestos abatement related to interior renovations will be performed as well. A large new concrete tactical vehicle parking area is featured with associated site lighting, new security fencing and revisions to existing asphalt pavement and drainage. Additional work has been added to the contract which includes demolition of existing damaged control trainer in the basement of the NOSC; design and construct a new female locker room and a small office area and storage in the existing basement corridor. The project is slated for a June 10, 2009 completion date. |
