Pre-Construction Services

Before commencing with the design plan, R&W Builder’s will review client’s project objective to ensure all aspects are fully understood. We will provide detailed site assessment identifying existing conditions. Our estimates are based on preliminary design and scope of work. Once they are reviewed and finalized by the client, an updated and final cost proposal will be completed.

We use a value engineering method of evaluating a project’s scope designed to maximize the value of each dollar throughout the project. Alternatives will be proposed to the architect for cost savings in high cost areas of the project. These alternatives will in no way deviate from the quality of the original design but could have a cost savings to the client.

Identifying long-lead items is imperative in making sure that all project deadlines are met. A project schedule to include all pertinent dates will be established. This is carefully tracked throughout the entire project.

Construction Services

Project coordination is essential to the success of a project. Planned meetings with the owner, architect and contractor are scheduled to review the status of the project and minimize potential challenges. We also conduct subcontractor meetings to ensure that all members of the project team are kept up to date on the project’s progress.

A schedule for the entire project will be established at the beginning of the project with input from the owner, architect and trade contractors. This schedule will address requirements, review processes, revisions, monitoring of purchase orders, submittals and any change order modifications.

Quality Control

Quality control is an integral part of all complex projects. Our QC manager develops a written plan for each project tailored to its unique challenges and requirements. We use a Quality Control System referred to as A Three Phase Quality Control, which has been used by government agencies for years. By using this plan, it enables us to deliver projects with the highest quality to our clients. This plan will cover each definable feature of work (DFW). The three phase are preparatory, commissioning, and certifications and rework lists required for each definable feature of work will be generated and updated for weekly quality control meetings.
